Peppermint Emulsion by Olive Nation is perfect for flavoring fondants, frostings, fillings, ice cream, and more. Our peppermint emulsion gives baked goods a better flavor and richer aroma than peppermint extract. It’s the preferred choice of professional bakers.

How is peppermint emulsion used? You can use Peppermint Emulsion by Olive Nation in recipes calling for peppermint extract. 1 teaspoon of peppermint extract = 1 teaspoon of peppermint emulsion. Give icings a peppermint flavor with peppermint emulsion.

Why is peppermint emulsion better than peppermint extract? Peppermint emulsion is water-based, while peppermint extract is alcohol-based. Since it’s water-based, peppermint emulsion doesn’t evaporate as quickly as extract, resulting in more flavorful and aromatic baked goods. Peppermint emulsion is also thicker than extract and distributes more evenly in batters and icings.

Are there any recipes that you should use peppermint extract over peppermint emulsion? Choose peppermint extract instead of peppermint emulsion in candy and recipes for chocolates. Though, you can use peppermint emulsion in candy fillings.

What are some recipes that I could substitute peppermint emulsion for peppermint extract? The recipes below call for peppermint extract. But you can substitute it one for one with Peppermint Emulsion by Olive Nation for more flavor.

•    Peppermint Ice Cream
•    & Chocolate Chip Ice Cream
•    Chocolate Mint Cookies

What are some other ways to use peppermint emulsion?

•    Create peppermint-flavored icing or whipped cream.
•    Bake cookies with a peppermint icing by flavoring it with peppermint emulsion.
•    Make a peppermint-flavored pie using peppermint emulsion in the filling.
•    Whip up peppermint pudding or filling by adding peppermint extract.
•    Make a trifle cake with a layer of peppermint pudding.

A whole lot of mint for your money

Posted by Katie on Apr 6th 2016

This emulsion is concentrated peppermint flavoring at it's best! A few drops goes a lot further than traditional extracts in smoothies and frozen desserts. The flavor is minty fresh and smells delicious. I would absolutely reorder this product.
