Description

Hazelnut Emulsion by OliveNation is great for flavoring cakes, frostings, fillings, and more. Use it in place of hazelnut extract to give your baked goods a stronger flavor and richer aroma. Emulsions are the preferred choice of professional bakers for their exceptional taste. Our Hazelnut Emulsion is kosher and gluten-free.

Why is Hazelnut Emulsion better than extract? Emulsions are water-based, while extracts are alcohol-based. Since It's water-based, Hazelnut Emulsion doesn’t evaporate as quickly as an extract, resulting in more flavorful and aromatic baked goods. Hazelnut Emulsion is also thicker than hazelnut extract and distributes more evenly in batters and icings.

How is Hazelnut Emulsion used? You can substitute Hazelnut Emulsion in most recipes calling for Hazelnut extract.1 teaspoon of hazelnut extract = 1 teaspoon of Hazelnut Emulsion. Try it in cakes, cookies, fillings, and icings. Due the water content of emulsions, it's best to use an extract instead of an emulsion in candy, including chocolates and truffles. However, Hazelnut Emulsion is suitable for candy fillings.

    Best way to flavor coffee

Posted by Peter on May 22nd 2018

Best flavoring I have found for flavoring coffee. 1 tablespoon per standard 12 cup drip coffee maker.
would be all 5's but for pricing.

    Did you read the ingredients??

Posted by Tina M. on Dec 20th 2017

I ordered this product for Christmas baking. When I read the ingredient list, the first is water and there is NO hazelnut of any kind listed! What happened?

    Superior coffee flavorer

Posted by john delaurentis on Oct 25th 2016

I add + - 1/2 tsp of hazelnut emulsion to ground coffee along with 5 drops of concentrated stevia, enough for one large mug of brewed coffee. Excellent. Shall use this 1/2 and 1/2 with vanilla for annual Christmas chocolate biscotti baking, as well, substituting hazelnuts for the walnuts in the cookies.
