Purple Natural Food Coloring for Low Temp, No Heat Applications

  • Made using only Glycerin & Red Grape Juice Concentrate
  • Adds Purple Shades to Foods without Using Artificial Dyes
  • Ideal for Creating Pastel, Muted, and Earthy Purple Shades
  • Great for Ice Cream, Icing, Frosting, Fillings, Beverages

Our Natural Food Coloring, Purple (Red Grape) is made from red grape juice concentrate to give foods a rich, vibrant hue without odor or flavor. This liquid food dye is a water-soluble ingredient best suited for cold or no-bake applications like icing, frosting, buttercream, and decorating sugars. Our all-natural purple food coloring is ideal for bulk commercial use in clean-label and better-for-you bakery, foodservice, and beverage applications. This colorful liquid is marvelous in adding pastel to bright hues in cold applications such as ice cream, frozen desserts, and milk-based drinks shakes, smoothies, teas, or cocktails. Because our water-soluble liquid natural purple food coloring is plant-based, the final color is very sensitive to temperature during preparation and will fade significantly during high-heat applications such as baking or cooking. This plant-based purple food dye will be brighter in more acidic environments.

Usage: Use 1/2 to 3/4 of a percent based on total volume to start. Color will be most vibrant when total pH is in the 4-5 range.

NOTE: Our natural colors are most vibrant when used in food with a pH level of 4-5 or lower. The final color of any product will depend on the specific ingredients and application. Our natural food colorings are not recommended for high-heat applications.
