Bensdorp 22/24 fat dutched cocoa powder is a premium unsweetened cocoa powder from one of the top European chocolate producers. This highly alkalized ingredient features a deep mahogany red color. Bensdorp 22/24 high fat Dutched cocoa powder contains 22% to 24% cocoa solids, making it ideal for use in bakery applications. The Dutch-processed ingredient adds rich chocolate taste and color to cakes, brownies, cookies, puddings, pastries, and other desserts. High fat cocoa powders like this 22-24% dutched cocoa powder make richer brownies and cakes, and are also ideal for flavoring ice creams and other frozen treats.

    Bensdorp Dutched Cocoa

    Really like this brand of cocoa. Has lots of good flavor that comes through in all my baking with it. Also love the dark color it gives. This is a great place to buy it, as I get at least 2 pounds at a time. I also use it (a lot) in my hot cocoa/chocolate mix.

    If I had not already purchased Valrhona cocoa powder from OliveNation, I would have liked this more. It is finely ground in a reddish mahogany color, not as deep a brown as Valrhona. It does not seem to blend as quickly as the Valrhona, either. I had my husband give me a true blind taste test so that the color wouldn't influence me. I truly did choose Valrhona because it had a deeper, more rounded taste. Bensdorp had a sharper, more "raw" taste. Although I sound very negative towards this brand, it is far superior to Droste.
