OliveNation Whole Nutmeg - Whole nutmeg is the seed in the fruit of the Myristica evergreen tree. It is grown in what was known as the “Spice Islands” in Indonesia. The tree is unique because it produces both nutmeg from the seed and mace from the lacy outer coating of the fruit. The pecan sized nutmeg seed has a sweet, woodsy smell and slightly bittersweet flavor.
