Description

Size 12 ozOliveNation is your source for Al Wadi All-Natural Pomegranate Molasses, also known as, pomegranate syrup. The ingredient takes your cooking to a whole new level with its magical sweet and sour taste. Pomegranate molasses can be a delicious way to add tanginess, depth, and complexity to meals you prepare, whether a main course, side dish, or dessert. Since it doesn’t taste too sweet, you can also substitute pomegranate molasses in recipes calling for lemon. You’ll love the versatility of pomegranate molasses as it can be used in many different recipes. How is pomegranate molasses traditionally used? Pomegranate molasses is an essential Middle Eastern ingredient and is traditionally used to heighten savory dishes including ones that feature chicken, lamb, or duck. The citrusy syrup cuts through rich flavors, making it the perfect accompaniment to heavier main dishes. In Persian cooking, pomegranate molasses is in fesenjan, which is a type of stew, typically made with chicken or duck. The syrup adds tartness to the heavy dish. The tasty Middle Eastern dip, muhammara, also features tangy pomegranate molasses. What are other ways to use it in savory cooking? You can use pomegranate molasses as a marinade for meats or try it as a glaze. Combine it with oil to make vinaigrette dressing. Roasted and grilled vegetables taste divine with a touch of pomegranate molasses. Give hummus and other dips a tangy-sweet kick by adding the syrup. How about in sweet dishes? Pomegranate molasses is a fantastic ingredient to drizzle on custards and ice cream. Try incorporating it into a buttercream or cream cheese frosting. Mixing it with dark chocolate is another amazing flavor combination. Can you use pomegranate molasses in drinks and cocktails? Of course! It works fabulously in champagne, a cranberry cocktail, pomegranate martini, or another beverage that calls for citrus. Try pomegranate molasses in nonalcoholic drinks including iced tea, seltzer, sparkling, or tonic water. What are some pomegranate molasses recipes? Try Eggplant Lentil Stew with Pomegranate Molasses or Pomegranate Molasses BBQ Sauce.  Why is our all-natural pomegranate molasses so good? It’s the purest kind of pomegranate molasses, made from 100% pure pomegranate juice. There’s no added sugar.

    Used it to brew beer

I added this to my fermenting beer. It was VERY important that there are NO preservatives, otherwise it would halt the process. NO sugar as well was a big plus.
