Brown Food Coloring for Muted, Pastel-Like Color Shades
- Natural Formulation uses Tea Extract to Create Neutral Brown Color
- Contains No Artificial Dyes or Coloring Agents
- Aroma-Free and Tasteless
- Ideal for Cold-Process or No Bake Applications
Use our Natural Food Coloring, Brown (Tea Extract) to add a warm brown hue to royal icing, frosting, smoothies and other creamy beverages, and ice cream. Made without artificial dyes or ingredients, this water-soluble liquid color is plant-based, odorless, and tasteless. Our concentrated brown food coloring takes its color from plant-based tea extract and is best when used in no-bake or cold applications. This edible natural food dye is a great alternative to artificial colorants and perfect for adding to royal icing, frosting, buttercream, and granulated sugars for decorating. Our brown food coloring for cold-process applications is also a great choice for coloring milk-based or plant-milk based drinks such as smoothies, shakes, and RTD beverages. Perfect for bulk use in commercial environments, our natural liquid food dye is ideal for adding color to ice cream and other frozen desserts. Because this colorant is made from plant-based ingredients, final color will be sensitive to temperature during preparation and can fade significantly during high-heat applications such as baking. This brown food color will be most vibrant in acidic environments.
Usage: Use 1/2 to 3/4 of a percent based on total volume to start. Color will be most vibrant when total pH is in the 4-5 range.

NOTE: Our natural colors are most vibrant when used in food with a pH level of 4-5 or lower. The final color of any product will depend on the specific ingredients and application. Our natural food colorings are not recommended for high-heat applications.
