Description

An absolute kitchen essential for any pastry chef, Elfroy Pastry Cream saves time and effort when it comes to creating the fluffiest Bavarian Cremes and Souffles. Made by gourmet food company Patisfrance, this powder creme acts as the base ingredient for some of the gourmet world’s most famous pastries.

Elfroy is essential to making tarts, cremes, souffles, and more. Elfroy pastry cream has a light flavor, but it can be enhanced with a few drops of flavoring alcohol such as grand marnier or rum. Take your home baking to the next level with gourmet quality Elfroy pastry cream powder.

Unlike other cold-processed pastry creams, Elfroy is made with the finest of ingredients.  Elfroy pastry cream contains no egg products of any kind. Elfroy is designed to be mixed with water, but for a richer consistency some chefs substitute half of the water for whole milk or half and half. Easily frozen for further use, this pastry cream is not only top quality but perfect for the home kitchen chef.

Some directions for use:
  • Combine 400 grams of Instant Pastry Cream Mix with 1 liter of Cold Water, and mix for 1 minute on low speed.
  • Then mix on high speed for 3 minutes.
  • Let stand for a minimum of 15 minutes before use.

The finished cream is refrigerator and freezer stable. Flavor as desired.

    Not recommended!

I thought this would be so great but it's way too glutenous and kinda rubbery. Not a good but fake artificial flavor as well. I wouldn't buy again and am throwing it out after having made it just once per instructions on internet. Sorry...it's just bad.

    The Best!

I have made Pastry Creams from Scratch before and can believe that it has taken me so long to discover the powdered form, what used to take so long to make now can be made in a matter of moments....with better results. Elfroy Custard Cream Mix is now a "standard" in my pantry.
