Description

Pure rose extract offers a beautiful floral bouquet and flavor that perfectly complements wedding cakes, icing and florets. Add just a few drops to your recipe for an unmistakable rose flavor. Pure rose oil is one of the most highly regarded ingredients in flavors and fragrance. A kilo (2.2 pounds) of rose oil costs many thousands of dollars, requiring fields of flower petals to produce small amounts of oil. The use of roses for sauces or flavoring meats and rice-based dishes was very popular during the Renaissance. Due to its intense flavor, use our Pure Rose Extract (different than rose water) very sparingly. Add just a few drops to creme brulee, sugar cookies, tea, sauces, dressings, puddings, cakes and sorbet for an unmistakable rose flavor.

    Rose Extract

Posted by Hazel Lutz on Oct 8th 2018

I previously gave a negative review of this product, because it did not match the strong rose flavor that I have experienced in food products made in India, most recently the rose-flavored lassi produced by Amul Company. I have just returned from my annual trip to India and I still love their rose lassi, however, I read the ingredients label and found out they use synthetic flavor. So I want to set the record straight. Olive Nation's rose extract does not taste like the synthetic flavor used by Amul Company. It also does not taste like the rose water sprinkled on top of Indian desserts, but I don't know if that is real or synthetic. I can say positively that Olive Nation's rose extract has a very subtle flavor which requires that I use a lot more extract in a recipee than I thought would be necessary. I do enjoy it, but don't quite know how to rate it. I gave it a four star rating. I'm still looking for the taste I associate with Indian rose water, some of which I'm quite sure is real, not synthetic.

    Pure Rose Extract

This wonderfully fragrant, powerfully potent extract is the perfect ingredient to any whipped cream or topping. I used just a few drops in a whipped topping, added a touch of red food coloring, and slathered it over angel food cake and fresh raspberries. My friends couldn't get enough of it. This authentic extract is also perfect for icings, frostings, and even beer! It's worth the price, and I encourage the serious baker to be creative with this delightfully scented rose extract. It's the real thing.

    Nice fragrance but very potent

Posted by shannon on Jan 26th 2018

I was a bit disappointed with the outcome of one of my dishes. I might have used too much, as I only put in one full drop. Perhaps, I should have done more research on how to use it. I love the extract, and would probably use it for more fancy deserts instead of using it for baking cakes. After reading the reviews, I believe the odd taste of my cake was due to the issue that the extract is too potent for cake batter.

I have never used rose extract before so I can't judge the quality but the price seemed good compared to other suppliers.

    Rose flavored candy

Posted by Mary on Mar 31st 2017

Very nice flavor and beautiful scent. I used more than I thought I would need to get the light flavor I wanted, I was expecting to use a few drops but ended up using over a tsp and a half but I got wonderful results. Am going to try it in a panna cotta dessert next week. I cannot wait, I will purchase again. Thank you for the wonderful products. I have not been disappointed.
