Natural Orange Food Coloring - Water Soluble Food Dye for Icing, Frosting, Fillings, Frozen Desserts

  • Natural Food Dye uses Beta Carotene for Orange Hues
  • Water Based Liquid Contains No Artificial Dyes
  • Ideal for Creating Pastel, Muted, and Earthy Orange Shades
  • Great for Ice Cream, Icing, Frosting, Fillings

OliveNation Natural Food Coloring, Orange (Beta Carotene) uses naturally-occurring beta-carotene to give foods a rich, vibrant orange hue. This water-soluble liquid contains no artificial dyes and is best suited for use in cold, no-bake, or low-temperature applications. Our natural orange food coloring is easy to use and can create a full range of shades from pastel to bold depending on the acidity of ingredients, cooking or baking method and temperature, and amount used. This water-based food dye is ideal for use in ice cream, milk-based beverages like milkshakes or smoothies, and RTD drinks. Because natural orange food coloring for frosting is sensitive to high temperatures in cooking or baking, it is ideal for making colored icing, fillings, buttercream, and decorating sugars. The exact shade of the final product is sensitive to temperature during preparation and can fade when used for high-heat applications such as baking. Liquid plant-based food dye will produce brighter, more vibrant shades in more acidic environments.

Usage: Use 1/2 to 3/4 of a percent based on total volume to start. Final color will be most vibrant when total pH is in the 4-5 range.

NOTE: Our natural colors are most vibrant when used in food with a pH level of 4-5 or lower. The final color of any product will depend on the specific ingredients and application. Our natural food colorings are not recommended for high-heat applications.
