This easy Lemon Frosting Mix - Gluten Free, Vegan requires only the addition of butter, milk (or vegan equivalents), and lemon zest to quickly create a flavorful crusting buttercream with fabulous citrus flavor. This delicious prepared mix is allergen free and gluten free, making it ideal for use to create beautifully decorated and filled baked goods for a wide variety of special diets. This versatile gluten free Lemon Buttercream Mix can easily be prepared as fully Vegan by simply using vegan-friendly milk and butter equivalents. This versatile ingredient is perfect for bulk bakery applications, as preparation requires only the addition of milk and butter (or vegan equivalents). This delicious, creamy lemon buttercream frosting mix is perfect for frosting, filling, and decorating cakes, cupcakes, cookies, brownies/blondies, and more. The creamy and fluffy texture is ideal for piping edible decorations or a base for finishing sprinkles and other edible decor.
Bulk lemon buttercream mix saves prep time for commercial bakery, restaurant, and catering applications. When prepared per directions, the pale yellow color is flecked with real lemon zest for an authentic look as well as sweet and tangy citrus flavor. Our bulk crusting buttercream frosting mix is easily customized by adding mix-ins as desired to the base mix. The gluten free, allergen free dry mix is ideal for creating customer-friendly desserts and better-for-you product offerings.
BASIC PREPARATION: Per 1.5 cup batch use:
- 12 oz. Lemon Frosting Mix
- 10 TBSP unsalted butter at room temperature (for VEGAN prep option, use vegetable shortening, raw coconut oil, or soy butter)
- 3 TBSP milk of choice (for VEGAN prep option, use vegan-friendly milk of choice)
- Zest of (1) Lemon (optional)
DIRECTIONS:
- Beat butter or vegan alternative with electric mixer on medium speed for 2 minutes.
- Add 12 oz. of Lemon Frosting Mix, lemon zest, and milk of choice. Beat on low speed until just incorporated then increase speed to medium and beat for an additional 2 minutes to ensure fluffy texture.
- Note: Make sure to add finishing decorations like sprinkles, nonpareils, or other edible decorations to frosted items before frosting sets to a crust.
FROSTING Amount needed for basic coverage (make extra if making frosting decorations or extra-thick frosting desired):
1.5 cups frosting will cover approximately:
- (12) standard cupcakes
- (24-36) mini cupcakes
- (6-12) jumbo cupcakes
- (1-2) 6” round cake layers
- (1) 8” round cake layers
- (1) 9” round cake layers
