Bensdorp 22/24 fat dutched cocoa powder is a premium unsweetened cocoa powder from one of the top European chocolate producers. This highly alkalized ingredient features a deep mahogany red color. Bensdorp 22/24 high fat Dutched cocoa powder contains 22% to 24% cocoa solids, making it ideal for use in bakery applications.     Bensdorp Cocoa Powder

    If I had not already purchased Valrhona cocoa powder from OliveNation, I would have liked this more. It is finely ground in a reddish mahogany color, not as deep a brown as Valrhona. It does not seem to blend as quickly as the Valrhona, either. I had my husband give me a true blind taste test so that the color wouldn't influence me. I truly did choose Valrhona because it had a deeper, more rounded taste. Bensdorp had a sharper, more "raw" taste. Although I sound very negative towards this brand, it is far superior to Droste.

    A powerful cocoa for delicious baking

    I used this cocoa in several large batches of brownies. Fresh from the oven the brownies were exploding with an enticing chocolaty aroma, The rich powder produced a complex and wonderful flavor. This cocoa will have a permanent place in the pantry.
