How to Prepare Organic Red Quinoa

Rinse the quinoa to remove any saponins, a naturally occurring bitter coating. Boil 2 cups of water or stock, then add 1 cup of quinoa. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 15 - 20 minutes. It is done when the grain pops and you see a ‘curly tail’.

    Great new grain

    We have made quinoa at home before and it has been ok but this organic red variety adds a nice bit of flavor and texture to the mix and we like it very much. I think anyone who enjoys quinoa and its benefits will really enjoy this one.
