Italian Roast Coffee

The taste of coffee is dependent upon the skill of the roaster. It’s the roasting technique that gives real Italian coffee that incomparable creamy texture and rich flavor without the usual bitterness. Our producers pay the utmost attention to every detail of the process including special packaging that guarantees freshness. They create a richer, darker roast that delivers the concentrated flavor and aroma so deliciously unique to Italian espresso.

Doge and Cagliari: Certified Italian Espresso

Since 1999 the Italian Espresso Institute (I.N.E.I.) has defined and certified the qualitative standards to be met by Italian espresso. This is your assurance you are drinking authentic and highest quality Italian coffee.

You Don’t Need an Espresso Machine

While your countertop coffeemaker won’t exactly replicate that espresso with the perfect crema you savored at Caffè Florian in Venice, you can come fairly close using a Moka pot or drip machine. Here are a few simple tips: First, if you are using a drip coffeemaker, use a medium-ground coffee. We offer both whole beans and medium-ground selections. Next, avoid creating bitterness by making sure your water is hot, but not scalding. If you are heating milk it should be lukewarm. Finally, coffee begins to deteriorate within 15 minutes of brewing. So when your coffee is ready, enjoy it immediately, at its height of goodness.
