    Very disappointed

Posted by Richard Behan on Apr 7th 2018

This product is not inexpensive, and I am very disappointed in it. To produce a noticeable flavor in a 2-quart pitcher of iced tea requires SIX tablespoons of the extract. That makes the per-unit cost prohibitive. When my bottle is empty, I will buy no more.

    Very nice

I use this to make Raspberry-Chocolate fondants. Of all the candies I make, most people like this one best.

Another favorite in my morning smoothie - I use lemon & raspberry extracts every day. The flavor is terrific, true and fresh. Highly recommend eye dropper tops for control of amount used.

Could use a bit more natural raspberry flavor

Posted by Alexandra on Jun 29th 2016

Not bad but could use more natural raspberry for my taste. I use it to flavor teas. I find myself having to use more of it than I did the clear raspberry extract, but I can't use propylene glycol in my teas.

    Very pleased

I am always pleased with the quality and the amount of product you get for the money. To buy extract in the same amount of extract you get on this site would cost you twice as much. Good quality and amount for the money.

I recently built a home carbonation system to make my own sparkling flavored water. I purchased these ten flavors in that pursuit. I tried each flavor in my water several times to try and give them a fair test.

    1. Black Currant (Cassis) Extract – too bitter for flavored water (I don’t add sugar or stevia), not very potent
    2. Red Raspberry Extract – Ok but really weak for my purpose.
    3. Orange Extract – Not great at all, chalky taste, the Watkins orange oil from Walmart is better
    4. Lime Extract – I was blown away by the awesomeness. Potent and bang on flavor!
    5. Cherry Extract – Good “hint” water but not as potent or amazing as the Lime and Pineapple
    6. Peach Extract – not good for “hint” water I couldn’t tell what the flavor was even after adding 4x as much as the lime or pineapple
    7. Pineapple Extract – I was blown away by the awesomeness. Potent and bang on flavor!
    8. Blackberry Extract – underwhelmed. It is weak and tastes more green and brambly than like the lush blackberries I love
    9. Lemon Extract – Very accurate lemony flavor, quite potent
    10. Strawberry Extract – Accurate flavor but very weak for the purpose of “hint water”, I would not purchase again
I had some disappointments and some delightful surprises. The only flavors I would for sure repurchase would be the Lime, Pineapple and Cherry.
Most people will purchase for baking and not for flavored water which is why I clearly am stating my purpose/use for the flavors.
