Storing Leftover Tomato Paste

How many tins of leftover tomato paste have you wound up throwing out since they have been in the refrigerator too long? Chances are a lot! Well here's how you can avoid the waste. Lay out a piece of plastic wrap. Scoop a tablespoon of unused tomato paste from the tin. Place on the plastic wrap. Twist the ends of the plastic wrap so you have a neat package. Repeat until all the tomato paste is used up. Store the tomato paste packages in a plastic container and place in the freezer. When you need tomato paste for that recipe, just remove however many packets you need, open them up and add the tomato paste to the sauce. No need to even defrost.
