You can roast Dried Mulato Chiles to bring out their full flavor. But be careful not to burn them. If a chili pepper burns, discard it, otherwise the flavor of your dish will be affected. Heat a heavy-bottom skillet, such as, cast iron to medium heat. Add the chili peppers. Press them down with a large utensil. Then flip them over to roast the other side.
