Tandoori Rub
is a term originating from India referring to the Tandoori, which is an oven made from brick and clay as well as the cooking method - the intense heat (usually over 500 degrees) produces a smoky firethat cooks food very quickly. Tandoori Spice is a bright red powder that is often used to give foods the traditional red-orange coloring used in Tandoor oven cooking. Theingredients found in Tandoori Powder are: Coriander, Fenugreek, Cinnamon, Cumin, Cayenne Pepper,Black Pepper, Onion Powder, Ginger, Clove, Garlic, Bay Leaves, Nutmeg, and Celery. Tandoori Spice is primarily used in Indian cuisine and commonly mixed with yogurt and used as a rubfor meats prior to cooking, traditionally in a Tandoori oven, but easily replicated in your own conventional oven!

    Tastey

I used this to marinade a whole chicken with some water salt and lemon for 12 hours then did a rub for the rotissere on my grill. It turned out great. I would only add a little more salt to the rub and i'm not a salt person.

This has a good taste. It comes in a sealable bag instead of a container but I have my own container

As soon as I smelled it, I thought of lamb. I will try this in my tagine but already made chicken and fish with this and loved the outcome both times.

    great flavor

I decided to bake up some chicken thighs using this rub. The flavor that stood out to me was curry. I used the chicken in my curry recipe along with vegetables. The flavor was amazing. I highly suggest seasoning with this when adding meat to your curry dishes.
