Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream

2 cups heavy cream 2 cups half & half 3/4 white sugar 1 tablespoon vanilla flavor fountain 1 tablespoon Chocolate Chip Mint Flavor Fountain 1 cup mini chocolate chips 3 drops green food coloring (optional)In a large bowl, combine the heavy cream and the half and half. Gradually whisk in the sugar until blended. Whisk in the vanilla. Refrigerate, covered, until very cold, at least 3 hours or as long as 3 days. Whisk the mixture to blend, add food coloring if desired and pour into the canister of an ice cream maker. Prepare according to the manufacturer's directions. 10 minutes into process, add 1 cup of chocolate chips to ice cream maker. Restart. Eat at once or transfer to a covered container and freeze for later. Recipe adapted from
