Apple Cinnamon Bread

  • ■   Cassia/Korintje Cinnamon Powder
  • ■   Demerara Sugar
  • ■   Walnut Halves and Pieces

Description

1 1/3 cups flour 3/4 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp cinnamon 1/4 tsp. ground cloves 1 cup sugar 1/2 cup vegetable oil 2 eggs, beaten 1 teaspoon vanilla 2 cups apple, peeled and chopped 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped, optional 1 1/2 tsp. demerara sugar Mix flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and ground cloves in small bowl. Beat eggs together and combined with 1 cup sugar and vegetable oil in large bowl. Add vanilla, apples and nuts. Stir in dry flour ingredients. Pour into greased loaf pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 50-60 minutes. After bread has baked for 20 minutes sprinkle with 1 tsp demerara or regular sugar. Return to oven to finish baking. Bread is done with inserted toothpick comes out clean. Let cool in pan. Recipe adapted from food.com
