Originating in Morocco this popular mix of herbs and spices is widely used across the Middle East and North Africa. The translation of the name is "head of the shop." In the Arab world this spice has the reputation of being at the pinnacle of all spice blends. Traditionally it has been the best spice mix a seller has to offer. We are proud to add it to our lineup. Ingredients: saffron stigma, mild paprika, cumin, ginger, coriander seed, cassia, turmeric, fennel seed, allspice, green cardamom seed, whole dill seed, galangal, nutmeg, rosebud powder, bay leaves, caraway seed, cayenne pepper, clove, mace, cubeb pepper, brown cardamom, lavender flowers, orris root. AS A RUB: Ras el hanout is an extremely versatile spice mix. Use it on chicken, vegetables, and casseroles. Sprinkle it onto chicken, fish, or lamb before pan-frying or grilling on your barbecue or under the broiler. You will love the mild, aromatic spiciness of the finished foods using this delicious mixture. Remember: this rub is salt-free, gluten-free, msg-free and preservative-free.

PLEASE NOTE: This product is intended for culinary uses only: cooking, baking, and other human food applications.

The spice very good; however, do not like the plastic bag container -- prefer the glass or plastic jars -- have to re pack after arrives. Will not keep in the zip bags.
