Quinoa Flakes by OliveNation feature all the nutrition of quinoa in a quick-cooking and delicious flake. Try these flattened quinoa grains as a hot cereal or add them to baked goods. You can also make a breading for chicken, fish, and vegetables with Quinoa Flakes. Once cooked, they taste creamier than regular quinoa. This product is also gluten free and vegan.

We love that this form of quinoa is comforting and healthy. A 1/3 cup dry serving of Quinoa Flakes contains 170 calories, 6 grams of protein, and 3 grams of fiber. It's also a good source of iron. To Make Breakfast Cereal: Boil 1 cup water in a small saucepan. Add 1/3 cup flakes. Cook for 90 seconds. Let stand until it reaches your desired thickness and consistency.

Storage: Store in a cool, dry place. To extend shelf life, you can store Quinoa Flakes in the fridge.

Quinoa Chicken Tenders Recipe:
Makes 3 servings


  • 1-1/2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breast tenderloins
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 2 tablespoons hot sauce
  • 1-1/2 cups Quinoa Flakes
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon seasoning salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil


  • Place chicken in a plastic storage bag with buttermilk and hot sauce. Marinate for 8 hours.
  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Toast Quinoa Flakes on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet in an even layer.
  • Bake for 20 minutes, tossing occasionally.
  • Remove flakes from oven and let cool.
  • Place cooled flakes in a wide, shallow bowl, and mix with onion powder, seasoning salt, cayenne pepper, and ground black pepper.
  • Remove chicken from marinade, and roll in Quinoa Flake mixture.
  • Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Cook chicken until browned one side and then flip to brown the other side, about 5 minutes on each side.
  • Chicken is done when it reaches 165°F on an instant-read thermometer.
  • Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
