Organic Jasmine Rice is a fragrant long grain rice with a mild, sweet flavor and an aroma much like that of jasmine tea. Originally grown in Thailand, white jasmine rice is popular in several Asian cuisines.
The sweet, nutty flavor and fluffy texture of jasmine rice make it an excellent compliment when served with spicy Thai food and seafood dishes. Cook jasmine rice with fresh ginger, garlic and cilantro to create a delicious side dish or serve with Honey & Hoisin-Glazed Pork Chops.
How to Prepare Organic Jasmine Rice
Place 1 cup of jasmine rice and 1-1/2 cups of cold water in a pot. Bring to a boil, then cover the pot and reduce to simmer for 20 minutes. Remove from heat and let stand 5 minutes. Fluff with fork before serving.
1 cup dry white jasmine rice makes-3 cups cooked.
