How to Prepare Organic Garbanzo Beans
Like other dried legumes, OliveNation organic garbanzo beans need to soak overnight before use in your recipes. Start by rinsing the beans well. Place 1 pound of organic garbanzo beans in a pot with enough cold water to over by at least 3 inches. Soak overnight. Drain and add cold water to the pot. Add seasonings like bay leaves and salt. Bring to a boil for 15-20 minutes, then lower the heat and simmer for 90 minutes covered or until softened.
