Mesquite Smoke Flavor by OliveNation is an easy way to add a smoked flavor to homemade sausages, jerky, grilled meat, and more. Sweeter and lighter than hickory smoke, Mesquite Smoke Flavor is prominent in Southwestern and Texas-style barbecue. Now you can easily add the flavor to foods you cook. Try our mesquite spice mix in gravy, nut mixes, barbecue sauce, and much more. It can be a delicious component to meat rubs; try the recipe below. This spice mix is a quick and easy way to add smoke flavor without the time it takes to actually smoke meats over wood. Our Mesquite Smoke Flavor is a spice powder that's all natural, gluten-free, non-GMO, and kosher.

Mesquite Dry Rub

  • 8 ounces OliveNation Turbinado Sugar or brown sugar
  • 1 cup chili powder
  • 1/2 cup black pepper
  • 1/2 cup OliveNation Bittersweet Smoked Paprika
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Mesquite Smoke Flavor
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons onion powder
Mix all ingredients in medium container. Be sure to break up the sugar to remove clumps. Season meat generously with the rub. This recipe makes a little over three cups of seasoning.

This seasoning is ready to use. For best flavor, use sparingly.
Store in a dry, cool place.
