Fresh Fruit and Flax Smoothies

Ingredients

  • ■   banana
  • ■   8 oz strawberries
  • ■   16 oz (1 lb) ground flax seeds
  • ■   protein powder
  • ■   orange juice
  • ■   mango nectar or coconut milk

Description

Combine 1 fresh or frozen banana, 1/2 cup of strawberries, 1 tablespoon ground flax seeds, 2 Tablespoons protein powder (available in your grocery store, also available gluten and dairy free) and 1/2 cups of orange juice, mango nectar or coconut milk. Combine all in a blender and process until smooth. OR Combine 1 cup mixed berries (raspberries, cherries, blueberries, strawberries, etc), 1 tablespoon ground flax seeds, 1 cup cranberrry or other juices with 4-5 ice cubes in a blender and process until smooth!
