How to Substitute Pure Chocolate Extract for Unsweetened Chocolate:
You can combine 1 tablespoon of Pure Chocolate Extract with 1 tablespoon shortening to replace 1 ounce of unsweetened chocolate.
 
Tips on Using Chocolate Extract or No-Bake Recipes:

You can add a small amount of this extract to frosting, whipped cream, smoothies, and shakes. However, it's suspended in alcohol, which cooks off during baking or cooking. For no-bake applications, we recommend that you use just a little bit, so the flavor of your dish isn’t altered.

    We are using this to give our hot chocolate & coffee and extra kick w/o extra calories, but it will be used in many more things, like homemade puddings, ice cream and baked goods.

    This is my second big bottle this year. We use this for everything. I do not consume sugars so I use this in my coffee and cream and in almond milk for "chocolate milk". We use in desserts alot to give it extra and deeper chocolate flavor.

    Along with the dark cherry extract, I put a drop or two of each in my coffee and they give it a wonderful flavor.
    Packaging is great and well protected. Great value too!

    I wanted to make a pound cake with the flavor of chocolate but not a chocolate colored cake. So I did that and added the chocolate extract and it came out perfect!!
