These pulses are hulled from the desi chickpea, a small and dark legume, and then split. Ranging in color from bright yellow to orange, Chana Dal Peas look a little like corn kernels and taste sweet and nutty. They're ¼" in diameter. Try them in Indian dishes such as traditional dal. Season with herbs for a delicious side dish or puree for a tasty bean dip. We offer Chana Dal Peas in 10lb, 25lb, and 50lb bulk packages. They're ideal for restaurants and those who use a lot of this ingredient. Basic Cooking Instructions: Sort and rinse Chana Dal Peas thoroughly. Add 1 cup peas to 4 cups of water. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to a simmer and cook for 35 minutes. Skim off foam while cooking.
