Bolete Mushrooms by OliveNation are sliced, and dried. Similar in taste and appearance to porcini mushrooms, but less expensive, Bolete Mushrooms make a good porcini substitute.
Our Bolete Mushrooms are harvested in the wild. Though they are cleaned, it's important to give them a rinse them before use to remove any debris. Reconstitute by placing them in a heatproof bowl. Then cover them with boiling water for 25 to 30 minutes until soft, stirring occasionally. Be sure to check once more for any stones. Strain and save the soaking liquid for cooking.
