Description

Australian ginger is acknowledged to be the finest in the world. Harvested from tender new baby ginger roots our Australian ginger is sliced then bathed in a sugar syrup and finally finished off by dipping in sugar. The result is a soft, chewy, crystallized golden-colored delight suitable for snacking or cooking. For a special treat dip the ginger in melted dark chocolate. This comment from one of our customers sums it up. "I wanted to take a minute to thank you. I received my order today and was very pleased with the level of quality of your product. It appears that you have a sharp eye for quality food products. I am extremely particular when it comes to food products. I grew up in a restaurant family, have attended professional course work at the California Culinary Academy and have been cooking since a very young age; all that considered, your products exceeded my expectations! Thanks for making your products available."

    Love this ginger

Posted by Carriecat on Feb 6th 2019

This is our favorite ginger. My father loved it too. We used to take him packets to England when we visited. He lived to be 101 with excellent digestion still!

    Addictive Crystallized Ginger

Posted by Emily Biegel on Jan 1st 2019

I love crystallized ginger, which I usually buy at our local natural foods store....BUT, once I tasted this I knew there was no going back! Mild, soft, just superb!

    Great Ginger

Posted by Dale on Sep 18th 2018

I have used various types and brands of crystallized ginger over the years. This is definitely the tenderest and least fibrous ginger out there. I assume that it is made from young roots. It's flavor is less strong than more mature ginger root, but the tender texture makes this ginger special.

    Genuine, mild, tasty Australian ginger

Posted by Louise Mehler on Jul 9th 2018

I gave up one of my favorite treats when local shops lost their source for Australian crystallized ginger. The stuff from China has a harsh taste, and who knows in what conditions it was produced. I'm so glad to have the real stuff available again--wonder if Olive Nation will accept a standing order for a pound a month?

    Sweet, tender and delicious.

Best crystallized ginger I've ever purchased. I hid it so I wouldn't have to share.

    Tasty and not tough

Some preserved, sugared ginger is as tough as shoe leather. This is pleasant, almost like gum-drops.

I have been using this great quality candied ginger in my biscotti and other recipes for a few years now. It never disappoints and is delicious!

    Delicious and Nutritional

Posted by Irish 905 on Sep 1st 2017

This ginger is good tasting and not at all fibrous or dry. There is too much sugar. While it's possible to brush it off, I don't want to pay for sugar I don't use.

Best Crystallized Ginger I've Ever Tried

Posted by Emilie Tytenicz on May 23rd 2017

Even though I can pick up crystallized ginger anywhere, this particular kind is by far the best I've ever had - pungent, easy to mince, and way too easy to nibble on as I'm mincing it.
