Black Walnut Ice Cream

Makes 10 1/2 cups
Prep Time 10 minutes

1 quart whole milk (4 cups)
2 cups sugar
1 teaspoon black walnut extract
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 quart whipping cream (4 cups)
1/2 cup chopped black walnuts or English walnuts, toasted

In a large bowl, combine milk, sugar, walnut flavoring and vanilla. Stir well. Stir in whipping cream and walnuts. Freeze cream mixture in a 4- or 5-quart ice cream freezer according to the manufacturers directions.
